A cardiograph used to monitor heart activity has been re programmed to monitor the activity of the Internet. In particular it has been programmed to monitor the website- mydeathspace.com, which takes the details of peoples myspace pages and creates a ‘deathspace’ for them after their physical life has ended. This site then becomes a space for their new life, which is made of photographs and texts from their previous existence along with descriptions of their death and tributes from friends and family.

The cardiograph has been re-programmed to monitor this site and where once it would print out the pulses of heartbeats from live physical bodies it now prints the faces of new mydeathspace members as and when they enter the site.
